German Shepherd Training Information in an easy, no-nonsense approach.

Zero, my GSD - German Shepherd Training Information

Let me start off right now with this disclaimer: I’m not a professional trainer! I’m just a dog owner who happens to find training dogs to be both very interesting as well as beneficial to the dog.

What you’ll find here is my experiences “Training a Working Dog for Dummies”. I’m going to chronicle my German Shepherd Training Information of both of my GSD’s, Sable and Zero - and so I invite you to come on in and join the ride.

If you’re looking for information on the different colors of GSDs, check out the latest page on that. Or how about checking out our great articles on dog health and diet issues, as well as training your puppy and older dog. And if you’d like to leave a comment for us, simply click on the Comment >> link below all the pages and posts.

    Training Experiences

How many times have you told your dog to “sit”, “stay”, “heel”, and “Don’t Bite Me!”. I admit, during my 39 years of life (and remember…It’s better to look good than to feel good!), I’ve had quite a few dogs that I’ve been responsible for. But I’ve never really put in the time and effort to fully OB my dogs. So, please join me in the continuing saga in my German Shepherd Training Information.

Your blog and the way you stress the training and OB brought back the days when we bought a german shephard for our teenage (15 years old) son. He could train the dog instead of not knowing what to do with himself on weekends. That was one of the best decisions we ever made. That dog (and the training) kept that teenager on the right track. I always thought the German Shepherd to be beautiful and I will always be gratefull to them also.
Between us - My son is 2 years younger than you are.

Glad to see that there are so many ways for us to appreciate our German Shepherd Dogs! OB training is a great way to instill discipline in our dogs, and discipline in the person training as well :)
